GRUP SOTERAS HISTORY

Grup Soteras was born in 1915 with the opening of Diagonal Can Soteras Restaurant, by Jaume Soteras i Font, a restaurant with great tradition in Barcelona, which marked a before and after in the Catalan cuisine. 105 years later, it still maintains the same spirit with which it was founded, reinforced by the celebration, for 20 years now, of the traditional Cargol’s Cuisine Season, a meeting point for personalities from the Catalan culture. Soteras Group was also the owner of emblematic restaurants in Barcelona such as La Pérgola Restaurant, La Font del Gat Restaurant and Restaurant at the Fira de Barcelona.

It is from the 60’s when Grup Soteras grows as a Hotel Group, with the inauguration in Castelldefels of the Playafels Hotel, a complex thought for the rest and the pleasure to the best service, quality and commitment, in constant evolution.

With the same objective, the Hotel Ciudad de Castelldefels and the Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime were opened in the 70’s and 90’s, establishments where you can also taste the Catalan and market gastronomy in their restaurants: El Rebost, L’Horitzó and Torre Barona. You can also enjoy the gastronomy and quality of Grup Soteras wherever you want through Soteras Catering.

Nowadays Grup Soteras manages in Castelldefels, the Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime, Ciudad de Castelldefels Hotel, Playafels Hotel, Playa de Castelldefels Apartments and Bel Air Hotel, the El Pèndul Beach Club Restaurant.
